Phase 1

Prepare the machine

Install, switch on and check basic settings.

Place the vending machine in its final location on a level, load-bearing floor and secure it through the holes in its feet. Suitable plugs, anchors or screws depend on the floor; you can seek advice at a hardware store. These fixings must be provided locally and are not included (details in the FAQ).

Important: Plug the vending machine directly into a standard socket (Schuko, 230 V), not into a power strip or extension lead. No other high-power appliance may run on the same circuit. Before switching on, observe the waiting time after transport and the clearances specified in the supplied manual for your model.

Open the door with the key, turn on the internal power switch and wait until the touch screen displays the sales screen completely.

  1. Tap the machine ID at the top left five times in succession.
  2. Log in with the credentials in the handover documents.
  3. Replace the start password with your own password and keep it safe.
Safety: Do not display passwords or access codes on the machine.

Check language, currency, time, date and temperature unit. Set cooling mode and set temperature to match the product in cooled models. Activate the glass heating if necessary.

Phase 2

Set up the assortment

Maintain products, prices, images and inventory.

Choose products that fit the location and target group. Insert them from front to back into the appropriate compartment. The products must dispense freely without getting stuck. Older goods come forward.

Tip: Fully configure and test one compartment. Then apply the process to the rest of the product range.

Open the desired compartment in compartment management. Enter product name, price, capacity and current inventory. You only need a description if it helps the buyer.

Save the information and then check the sales screen to see if the name and price appear correct. For a large product range, you can alternatively manage the same data in bulk using Excel (step 8) instead of one compartment at a time.

Library image: In the product details, select Produkt ändern / Change Product and assign the appropriate image.

Your own product image: To import images and Excel files, use an empty USB stick formatted as FAT32 with a maximum capacity of 32 GB. In the Android file manager, copy only the product images with unique names to TcnFolder/ImageGoods; leave other files and folders unchanged. Then select the image in the product library and remove the USB stick.

Check the associated image directly on the sales screen.

Two options: Product data can be managed individually in compartment management (step 6) or in bulk using Excel. If you have already entered the data individually, skip this step and mark it as unnecessary.
  1. Export the product list to the USB stick at the vending machine: empty, FAT32-formatted, maximum 32 GB (as in step 7).
  2. Edit the exported TCN_product.xls file; leave column names and compartment numbers unchanged.
  3. Import the file again in Warengang-Verwaltung (compartment management) via Regalimport (shelf import).
  4. Wait for the success message, remove the USB stick and restart the machine when the software asks for it.

The table allows you to maintain product name, description, product code, price, inventory and capacity. As in step 7, you can assign product photos via the product library.

Phase 3

Check & start payment

Test payment methods and make the first test purchase.

Recommendation: Use card and cash payments. Depending on the location, fully cashless operation may also make sense.
  • Card payment: Check that the operator account for the installed terminal is active.
  • Cash: Add change and check the enabled banknote denominations.

The details are in the included component documents. Restart the machine after changes to payment devices.

For each modified compartment, perform a test vend and then complete a full test purchase with each enabled payment method.

  • Product name, image and price are displayed correctly.
  • The amount charged is in line with the price.
  • The product dispenses properly.
  • The inventory is updated correctly.
Conclusion: If everything is correct, the vending machine is ready to use.
