Information on batteries and waste disposal
TCN and SnackDragon vending machines may contain a lithium metal coin cell in the control section. A Panasonic CR1220 is installed on the inspected TCN control board. In the case of a different revision of the circuit board, the actual marking on the cell and the circuit board is decisive. The following information explains how batteries and waste electrical equipment are used safely, collected separately and returned and disposed of.
Do not dispose of with residual waste. The symbol of the crossed-out waste bin means that batteries must be collected separately. The marks Pb and Cd beneath the symbol indicate, where present, lead or cadmium respectively above the statutory marking thresholds.
Avoid waste and extend service life
- Use the machine and control system exclusively in accordance with the operating and safety instructions.
- Keep the device dry, protect it from impermissible heat and switch it off correctly.
- Have maintenance and replacement of batteries carried out exclusively by suitable specialist personnel.
- Never charge, open or use a non-rechargeable lithium coin cell for other purposes.
Separate collection and return
End users are legally obliged to return used batteries separately from unsorted municipal waste. Returning them is possible free of charge at suitable collection points in the trade or at municipal recycling centres. Further information for end users is provided by REBAT and the Umweltbundesamt (German Federal Environment Agency).
Waste electrical equipment: return and disposal
Removed parts and discarded machines are waste electrical equipment and do not belong in household waste. A discarded machine must not be dismantled on one's own initiative. Return or collection is organised after a request via info@snackdragon.eu. For complete discarded devices, state the model, the serial number and the location. Do not send discarded devices or batteries unannounced.
End users are themselves responsible for deleting personal data on the waste devices to be disposed of. The symbol of the crossed-out waste bin means that waste devices must be collected separately from unsorted municipal waste.
Batteries must be disposed of separately. Modules containing refrigerant may be disposed of only via a certified specialist company.

Safe use
- Do not short-circuit, damage, burn, heat or swallow batteries.
- Keep removed coin cells out of the reach of children; secure the terminals against short-circuiting for transport.
- Do not touch damaged, deformed, overheated or leaked batteries with bare hands and do not send them by ordinary post. Ask a municipal collection point for chemical waste or batteries how they can be returned safely.
Why separate collection is important
Incorrect disposal can cause fires and release substances that are harmful to the environment and health. Separate collection enables safe processing and the recovery of valuable raw materials.
