Battery and disposal information
TCN and SnackDragon vending machines may contain a lithium-metal button cell in the control area. A Panasonic CR1220 is fitted to the inspected TCN control board. If the circuit board revision differs, the actual markings on the cell and circuit board are decisive. The following information explains safe use, separate collection, and the return and disposal of batteries and waste electrical equipment.
Do not dispose of in residual waste. The crossed-out wheeled bin symbol means that batteries must be collected separately. Where present, the symbols Pb and Cd beneath it indicate lead or cadmium above the statutory labelling thresholds.
Prevent waste and extend service life
- Operate the vending machine and its control system only in accordance with the operating and safety instructions.
- Keep the device dry, protect it from excessive heat and shut it down properly.
- Have maintenance and battery replacement carried out only by suitably qualified personnel.
- Never charge, open or misuse a non-rechargeable lithium button cell.
Separate collection and return
Germany: end users are legally obliged to return waste batteries separately from unsorted municipal waste. They can be returned free of charge to suitable retail collection points or municipal recycling centres. Further information for end users is available from REBAT and the Umweltbundesamt.
Waste electrical equipment: return and disposal
Removed components and vending machines that have reached the end of their service life are waste electrical equipment and must not be disposed of with household waste. A vending machine that has reached the end of its service life must not be dismantled without authorisation. Return or collection will be arranged upon request at info@snackdragon.eu. For complete waste devices, please state the model, serial number and location. Please do not send waste devices or batteries without prior notice.
End users are responsible for deleting personal data from waste devices to be disposed of. The crossed-out wheeled bin symbol means that waste devices must be collected separately from unsorted municipal waste.
Batteries must be disposed of separately. Assemblies containing refrigerant may be disposed of only through a certified specialist company.

Safe handling
- Do not short-circuit, damage, burn, heat or swallow batteries.
- Store removed button cells out of the reach of children; protect their terminals against short circuits during transport.
- Do not touch damaged, deformed, overheated or leaking batteries with bare hands or send them by ordinary post. Ask a municipal hazardous-waste or battery collection point how to hand them over safely.
Why separate collection matters
Improper disposal can cause fires and release substances that harm the environment and health. Separate collection enables safe treatment and the recovery of valuable raw materials.
