Battery and disposal information
TCN and SnackDragon vending machines may contain a lithium metal button cell in the control unit. A Panasonic CR1220 is fitted on the inspected TCN control board. In the case of a different board revision, the actual markings on the cell and the board are decisive. The following information explains safe use, separate collection and the return and disposal of batteries and waste electrical equipment.
Do not dispose of with residual waste. The crossed-out wheeled bin symbol means that batteries must be collected separately. The symbols Pb and Cd below the symbol, where present, indicate lead or cadmium above the statutory labelling thresholds.
Avoiding waste and extending service life
- Operate the vending machine and control unit only in accordance with the operating and safety instructions.
- Keep the device dry, protect it from excessive heat and shut it down properly.
- Have maintenance and battery replacement carried out only by suitably qualified specialists.
- Never charge, open or misuse a non-rechargeable lithium button cell.
Separate collection and return
End users are legally obliged to return waste batteries separately from unsorted municipal waste. They can be returned free of charge at suitable collection points in retail outlets or at municipal recycling centres. Further information for end users is provided by REBAT and the Umweltbundesamt (German Environment Agency).
Waste electrical equipment: return and disposal
Removed parts and end-of-life vending machines are waste electrical equipment (Elektroaltgeräte) and must not be disposed of with household waste. An end-of-life vending machine must not be dismantled on your own initiative. Return or collection is organised on request at info@snackdragon.eu. For complete old devices, please state the model, serial number and location. Please do not send in old devices or batteries without prior notice.
End users are themselves responsible for deleting personal data on the old devices to be disposed of. The crossed-out wheeled bin symbol means that old devices must be collected separately from unsorted municipal waste.
Batteries must be disposed of separately. Assemblies containing refrigerant may only be disposed of via a certified specialist company.

Safe handling
- Do not short-circuit, damage, burn, heat or swallow batteries.
- Store removed button cells out of the reach of children; secure the terminals against short circuits for transport.
- Do not touch damaged, deformed, overheated or leaking batteries with bare hands and do not send them by ordinary post. Ask a municipal hazardous waste or battery collection point about the safe way to hand them in.
Why separate collection matters
Improper disposal can cause fires and release substances that harm the environment and health. Separate collection enables safe treatment and the recovery of valuable raw materials.
